It's me, Sandy, I have been working at this for some time now. I had to redo the letter W twice and I'm still not sure if I like the result. What do you think? I read a comment about the one gal who had the different color house from the rest of the top. You mentioned that it doesn't go with the quilt and should be set aside for something else. Do you think that same way about mine? I have a completely different color for my doorways and windows in the houses. And one of my houses has a wrap - around window. Yeah, I forgot to add a side to it. My husband liked that one and said that's a great idea. I'm unsure of my layout as well.
Maybe I should just give it a rest for a while. Leave it on the floor or my design wall for a week or so and let it grow on me........ :o)

Personally, I think this quilt is coming together really well -- but the important thing is YOU like it -- if you're not sure, the idea of taking a short break and "studying" it makes sense to me! :-)
fantastic snowman - love that happy face. The W is great, but it looks a bit odd because it blends right into the O. It would be easier to read if the W was lower than the O.
your houses look great, and they "go" just fine. The fabrics are in the same tonal range and fabric styles. It all looks great. I've made plenty of windows on the side of the house myself - never admit to a mistake. Design decision.
The snowman is really great! I agree though that the W needs a bit of background fabric on the left or something else to set it off. The houses look fabulous!
Love what you've done so far and that snowman is adorable. I agree about the W blending in with the other letters.
What a lovely quilt! The wrap around window could start a trend (and I hadn't noticed it till you blabbed!) The diferent colour doors and windows are your accent colour - go with it, it's fab!

I like the flashes of color with the red of the snowman's scarf, the chimneys and the windows. I think it looks great.

I love your layout and that snowman really makes me smile. It took me a while to "see" the W. For some reason, I was focusing on the white, which is actually the background. Think I'd rework the W but the rest is fabulous!
