Rose Marie-need opinion

My letters are coming along .... slowly, but surely! Do you see the work 'squeaky snow' on the left? Does the q look like a q? My DH is teasing me about that and if you gals think it looks odd, I'll change it. This is my second go round fussing with the q. There will be a strip of white fabric sewn to the top and bottom of each word, so the bit below the tail on the q will not be there.

There is just one more tree and word to make and then my letters are done!

I bought a couple packages of snowflake buttons and will sew them on throughout the quilt later on. Some have just been pinned on for me to see the effect.

Tonya, hope you are safe in Paris these days! Stay safe!

Have a good evening!

I think your top is coming together very nicely. I love what you've done so far. However, I do think your Q looks like a number 9.
Could you maybe shorten it a bit and add a tail to the end? Good luck with it. :o)

Rose Marie, your quilt is coming along so wonderfully. I love it. Fabulous mix of colors. Your q is fabulous - leave it alone. Will make more sense when you take the seam allowance in. Don't listen to your husband! Mine always points out the imperfect bits and says - fix those. He like perfection. Since I am the anti-perfectionist I ignore him.

I am perfectly safe here. I am in a wealthy safe neighborhood - no protests or riots anywhere near here - they are all way out in the suburbs.

I think your q looks great. I love your quilt. I love the blue and white combo for a winter theme.

Yes, your quilt is very accomplished! Lots of detail in it.

I think the q is just fine. The word is very legible and isn't likely to be mis-read. That is the main thing. It is important that some elements have a bit of ambiguity to them - it adds nuance.

What a lot of work here!
