I paid my sister to watch the baby!

Last Friday I got my sister to watch my 20 month old...so I got to pretend that I went to "work" and I cloistered myself away...it was great. I decided for this class that I was just going to cut fabric and sew it together... hopefully it would turn out ok...normally I plan, plan, plan, and then plan some more. Sometimes all the planning dampens my creativity and I don't actually do anything...this is WAY better. Thanks Tonya!
Regarding the theme...I made the "SNOW" and the flakes then couldn't think of what else to put....I live in the valley in Oregon and what we always do around the holidays is just imagine snow...because we don't usually get it!

you're so welcome. I hope you'll keep playing like this - having fun and getting projects done. Your quilt top is wonderful. I love that snowflake on the upper left - it's spinning. and your embroidery is marvelous. Excellent job. don't stop now - quilt it.

I have that plan, plan, plan problem too.

Tonya is setting us F-R-E-E!!!

I like the combination of your free-piecing and embroidery, very cute.

This is sooo good! I'm a chronic planner as well. It sure can get in the way of having fun with fabric. I think your babysitting money was well spent!

Love what you have done with your top and the embroidery work adds an unexpected touch to the top.

The "imagine" was a great inspiration. We pretty much have to imagine snow as well!
