this is sooo cute. Maybe an inner gold (is that the color of the tree trunk) border with a wider one in that christmas tree fabric? Or is that too predictable. I might play with piano keys on the two sides. Dark red and that green...
I love it! I like Ton's inner gold border, but I would put a green plaid homespun for an outer border, or do it like Ton said but bind in the homespun. I really heart green plaid. Well- any plaid. I'm Scottish.
That's so cute. What about a tiny gold border followed by a red and white checkerboard? Or maybe just one row of checkerboard (not sure what that would be called really).
Thanks for the ideas! I'm down with the flu now, but will consider all this. I like the idea of more gold and green in the border and the bias red binding sounds great! More to come...
So adorable! I've been waiting to see your finished quilt top and I just love it. My thoughts on the border is the gold from the tree trunk OR the green from the tree and the dark solid red.
Or maybe I should call this the Lazy Gal Fall/Winter/Christmas/Peace Quilting Class of 2007. All quilters are welcome to participate, so long as you're willing to work in a free-pieced or improvisational way. No templates, no patterns, not much measuring and not many rules. Want to know more? Keep reading.

I'd love to see the plaid cut on the bias for the binding! We sure all have our opinions, lol.
This is just adorable! Great job.

Definitely green, and the gold would be fab.
